This deck project was built in Winnetka, located in Cook County, Illinois. The area is home to many older homes with decks in need of some freshening up.
What the Homeowners Wanted
The homeowners in Winnetka contacted us about replacing their old deck. We sent out an assessor who knew right away that the run-down wood deck was in need of a total overhaul. The homeowners had a vision, so they sat down with our designers and went over a few different options. Using our 3D tool, we were able to show them what different deck styles would look like in their backyard, and they were confident with the deck they chose. So we got to work!
Details of This Resurfaced Deck with Privacy Screen
The resulting deck is absolutely stunning. It features a rich brown composite that perfectly mimics the look of natural wood. The beauty of composite is that it requires little to no upkeep, so this deck will last decades with very little work. The striking black aluminum and black privacy screen add an elegance to the space that is hard to match. Now the homeowners can enjoy their deck without having the view of their neighbors yard.
The underdeck lattice work adds a luxurious style and finish to the deck offering a clean, and complete feel to the space. The homeowner’s favorite part of their new deck is the recessed lighting in the stairs. At night, the area glows, adding safety as well as atmosphere to their outdoor space.
